Kim demonstrated her excellence in nursing and compassionate nature when she ensured she was consistently available for a patient who was dying. The patient had requested a therapy dog to visit him, however the patient was in isolation and unable to have a volunteer dog visit. Kim generously volunteered to bring her own therapy dog in on her off day when the vice president was in town and traffic was awful just to ensure her patient had a visit from the therapy dog as requested. The patient remarked how happy he was that he had Kim as his nurse not only that day because Kim also took care of his wife to make sure she was okay during that difficult situation with end of life care.
