My dear friend John had just been moved into the Hospice Unit when I called from home (MD) to check on him. Kim's compassion was evident; she cared enough to ask me to tell her about him. I shared that I was driving down the next morning to see John. Kim got my cell #. She called me at midnight to share with me John's reaction when she had told him I was on my way priceless! Then when he died the next morning she called and saved me a long drive when I would have missed him.
