A few weeks ago I was having a really rough week and had multiple patients with terrible wounds. I was already so behind with med pass and patient care, and I had my first patient that passed. I had no idea what needed to be done and was busy doing post-mortem care, getting even more behind. Lab called with a critical result.
Kim who was done at 3:00 stayed late, took my critical result, called the doctor, put in orders, and stayed over three hours after her shift was over! She helped me so much. I really appreciated what she did for me and my patients. She is an amazing nurse. I don't know what I would have done without her.
