Recently Kim was the RN for a cancer patient on 6 South East. The patient was a newer diagnosis and was beginning to experience alopecia. The patient was very embarrassed and did not feel her family was being supportive. Kim sat with the patient and offered to shave her head, and they got her a head scarf. The patient was very relieved and thankful that it looked good and was more accepting of her appearance.
