October 2017 Honoree
kimberley swogger, RN, BSN
I want to give recognition to Kim in the ER. I came into the ER in severe pain. I believe she was just coming on to her shift. She saw me doubled over in pain in the hall. She helped me into a wheelchair. She was very calm and explained to me everything she was doing and answered all my questions. I have very high anxiety due to a horrible experience in the past with receiving an IV.She explained to me justin case I was having a heart issue I would need an IV. Plus, they needed to get blood. She did an amazing job keeping me calm and talking to me. I didn't even feel her do it. Due to my horrible experience in the past, I have refused an IV ever since. I can't put into words what Kim did for me that night. It might seem small to some, but she has completely taken the fear away. I am very thankful for this.
Thank you, Kimberley, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
