It has been such a godsend moment to have with my nurse. Lately, I have been dealing with a lot. I had to place my grandma in hospice, and it's overwhelming. Kimberly was the warm, sweet, and caring person I needed. Her level of care went deeper than any prescription. For the first time this month, I felt seen and heard. Kimberly is the type of person who you can tell it's more than a paycheck. She actually cares. I really felt like I no longer had to carry the burden alone. I wanted to hug her for her. She’s just doing what she does. For me, it was an intervention. The VA is better because she is here. I arrived sad and just feeling alone. To be happier and filled with hope. It was very refreshing to have her as my nurse. She made a difference. I can't thank her enough. That's why I need help to make her realize what a blessing she is. She didn't treat me as a number with a time frame. She treated me as a friend. As someone who matters. Honestly, the world would be a better place if more people were like her. She is a beautiful person who cares enough to make sure someone knows they are not alone. That they matter.
