Kimberly A Hammer, MSN, RN

I am writing this letter to recognize the outstanding performance by one of your employees. It was reported at our monthly meeting of our VFW Post that Kimberly Hammer went above and beyond what we would expect to help one of our Veterans recently. One of our members drove the Veteran to Cheyenne for an appointment. The Veteran has a chronic respiratory illness and was very winded during the walk from his completed appointment to the finance/travel pay office. He was resting in the hallway, where Ms. Hammer noticed him and retrieved a wheelchair for him. It was nearing closing time, and the door to finance was shut. Ms. Hammer rousted them out, and he was served. She waited for the Veteran to complete his paperwork. Finally, Ms. Hammer wheeled the Veteran out the door while the driver went to retrieve the vehicle. She helped the Veteran enter the vehicle, sent them on their way, and then returned the wheelchair. We are so appreciative of the heart and compassion shown by Ms. Hammer for one of our Veterans.
