Kim started in Neurosurgical ICU as a new grad in 2005 working nights. She still works nights and functions as a preceptor, relief charge nurse and is on the rapid response team. Kim’s colleagues report that she is a positive team player that assists other nurses without hesitation for the best outcome of each patient. They also add that she is an amazing example of a patient advocate and always has her patients’ best interest in mind. Kim is the chairperson for the Neurosurgical ICU’s Unit Practice Council and has been working on creating a health work environment in the unit.
