I brought my 15-month-old son to the emergency department for difficulty breathing, and from the moment we arrived, Kim was an incredible source of support. She remained calm, kind, and patient throughout our entire visit, making a stressful situation much more manageable. As a nurse myself, I was genuinely surprised that she had not already received a DAISY Award. Her compassionate care was truly exceptional. She went above and beyond, even holding my son so I could take a moment to step away. When I returned, it was the first time since we arrived that he wasn't crying, which speaks volumes about her comforting presence. Kim made a lasting impact on our ED experience, and I have no doubt she would excel as a pediatric nurse. I sincerely hope she receives the recognition she deserves for the outstanding care she provides.
