March 2023 Honoree
Kimberly Bailey 2023, MSN, APRN, AGPCNP-BC, AOCNP
I would like to nominate Kim Bailey on behalf of my Mom and family. In December my Mom was diagnosed out of nowhere with stage 4 triple-negative breast cancer. It was a complete shock because she’s young and has always been so healthy. Kim has been an angel during the worst time of our lives. She always goes above and beyond for my Mom. I can tell she genuinely cares about her. A few months ago my Mom got very sick; suddenly her brain had swollen very badly and was shifted.
Kim came several times during our week in the hospital and would sit and talk with Momma and hold her hand and offer to do or get anything we needed. She gave me her phone number (which I’m sure she regrets) and told me to call or text anytime. And I have many, many times. I always feel bad about it because I know she is busy. Anytime I’ve said that to her she says not to because it is an absolute honor for her to get to take care of my sweet Momma. She even came by after work to my house one evening to flush Momma’s ear out because it was completely stopped up. I know she had a long day and had to be tired but you wouldn’t have known it because she came in with a smile and was so kind and caring. Though this has been a nightmare we can have some peace in knowing that Kim is taking the very best care of her and doing everything in her power for her. We couldn’t thank her enough.

Thank you, Kimberly, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
