August 2011 Honoree
kimberly barnes, RN
From Kimberly Barnes’ patient:
More than likely you don’t remember me since you see countless patients each week. But I will always remember you. I came to the ER in pain and agony. You showed compassion towards me and even held my hand as I cried like a small child after the doctor told me he couldn’t find anything wrong with me. A few days later I found out that my gallbladder was functioning at 11 %! And just as you predicted, that day I had my gallbladder removed. It was my first surgery EVER! Yikes!
The surgery was a great success with Dr. J as the surgeon. Thank you for believing me and treating me with kindness. I am back to my old self again and I’m very thankful for nurses like you, who consider themselves to be a part of the solution in their patients’ lives.
Thank you for caring. I’m sure you have rough days, but when those days come please remember that you make a difference!
