When my mother was made comfort measures, Kim Blevins went above and beyond for my family. Kim had taken care of my mother previously during our stay and she knew the final outcome in days to come. She had explained to us in earlier days she had hospice experience, and she would answer any questions we had, and she will inform us of any changes we should be aware of. It was such a blessing I believe that Kim was our nurse the day my mom went to her Heavenly Home. She took excellent care of her at her onboarding shift that day at 7:00 am she knew it would not be much longer. She was gentle and kind. She was respectful and empathetic, she was a patient advocate, and she was our advocate. She knew me and my sister had not left mom's side much at all and we were weary also. Her words when we left the room waiting on the funeral home "I will take good care of her. I will take care of everything." And that she did. We want her to know we will never forget her kindness. She is definitely doing what she was called to do and deserves this award.
