Kimber was an excellent nurse. I had a SI Joint Fusion and the surgical pain meds started to wear off right about the time she started her shift. She arrived with great energy, and I  immediately knew she would take great care of me. She was very attentive and worked tirelessly throughout the evening and early morning to find ways to relieve my increasing pain. She even called my doctors for approval of a particular medication. She worked hard to use whatever methods available within my chart to manage my pain. She was successful!! During this period, she also took fabulous care of me, helping me to the restroom, walking a bit, and when I had a lot of trouble staying asleep, she helped me to get in a sleep position that was as comfortable as possible using pillows and blankets to relieve pressure and prop me up. This allowed me a bit of sleep I disparately needed. Kimber was excellent and deserves the DAISY Award. PS: One more note, with every medication she provided, she gave a detailed explanation about them and asked if I had any questions or concerns. She was a joy, and I was blessed to have her by my side during this difficult time. PSS: Kimber seems to really enjoy being a nurse and caring for patients. As the patient, she has made me feel so cared for and has gone out of her way to make my hospital stay as comfortable as possible. Great Nurse!!
