Kimberly Boykin 2025, RN, MSN

When I think of someone who has truly made a lasting impression on me as a nurse, I think of Kim Boykin. This leader is the definition of compassion. As a leader, she goes above and beyond to make sure the patients of this hospital have not only compassionate, patient-centered care, but that safety is the priority. Kim is a leader who is constantly trying to improve Nursing care throughout the hospital. She does this by listening to the nurses on the front line. When you bring forward a problem, a solution is found... no matter what. This leader's job doesn't necessarily require them to step to the bedside all of the time, but they often help out on the front line by offering a helping hand or just making sure everyone has had a break. This leader has so much respect for us nurses and constantly lifts us up with their positive energy. When I think of a DAISY Nurse Leader, I can't help but think of this nurse leader!
