Here is a heartfelt testimonial from her mentee: “I am deeply grateful for the invaluable mentorship provided by Kimberly Cleveland, who has played a significant role in shaping my academic and professional journey. Through her guidance and unwavering support, I have had the privilege of collaborating on impactful initiatives, such as the development of the Student Chapter at The American Association of Nurse Attorneys (TAANA). With deep appreciation for Kimberly's mentorship, I have reached out to deans of law schools and nursing schools to share the mission and offerings of our Student Chapter and to extend a warm invitation for potential collaborations. Kimberly's mentorship has empowered me to champion mentorship, guidance, and networking opportunities for students interested in the intersection of nursing and law, including the opportunity to participate in our enriching annual conference. I am immensely grateful for Kimberly's commitment to my growth and advancement, which extends beyond traditional mentorship to actively engaging in initiatives that broaden my horizons in healthcare law. Through her dedicated efforts, I have learned the importance of community engagement and professional networking, which have been instrumental in our outreach initiatives to academic institutions and faculty members. Kimberly's steadfast dedication to nurturing emerging professionals in healthcare law serves as an enduring source of inspiration.”

Here is a heartfelt testimonial from another mentee: “It is hard to put into words how much I appreciate the time Dr. Kimberly Cleveland has dedicated to investing in me as an individual and nurse leader. Her Insight and advice have not only helped me navigate challenges but have also inspired me to strive for excellence throughout my career. About 10 years ago, I was in her undergraduate policy class explaining to her how much I disliked finance and legislation. She continued to support my academic growth and was a mentor during my master’s and doctoral training. In addition, Kim's desire to enhance the field of nursing has paved the way for her mentees, students, and colleagues’ future success. She first met me when I was an undergraduate student, now I'm Head of Clinical Care and a Critical Care Nurse Practitioner for a national family caregiving company. I owe a lot to her, and lucky for me, I still call my favorite undergraduate professor for finance and policy advice. I'm so proud of her. Kimberly, thank you for paving new roads for nurses to explore and conquer. You have made an everlasting impression on all of us! I cried writing this, she's been such a blessing in my life! She's not just a mentor, she's a part of my family!”

Furthermore, President Cleveland has been actively engaged with the NOBC since 2018 and currently holds the esteemed position of NOBC Board Chair Emeritus, contributing significantly to its mission of cultivating and preparing nurse leaders for board service to improve health in their communities. The establishment of an NOBC Nursing Leadership Scholarship named in President Cleveland's honor is a testament to her remarkable dedication and expertise in her contributions to board service and the nursing law profession. This recognition not only celebrates her outstanding contributions to a nationally recognized and esteemed organization but also underscores the invaluable impact she has made in the advancement of nursing leadership throughout our country.
