In providing triage, assessment, evaluation and care for a patient, Kim showed strong leadership and professionalism in advocating for the patient. The patient was very anxious and fearful of her potential diagnosis and Kim was persistent in providing calm, comforting care and coordination of her concerns with the M.D., who eventually had to go to the parking lot to convince the patient to return to be examined. Kim remained with the patient, contacted a family member for the patient support, talked with the patient to help educate her on the importance of immediate care and follow up. Kim showed her heart full of caring and compassion in her care for this patient.
