My teenage daughter was admitted for an emergency appendectomy. She was scared, nervous, and in pain. When we first got to the room, a male nurse gave my daughter instructions on putting on her gown. My daughter was too embarrassed to tell him that she was menstruating and could not go without underwear as instructed. I peeked my head out to let him know the situation. Kim heard us talking and immediately jumped up and said I got this. She came in and explained how to use the items needed for menstruation. She explained everything going on in detail so my scared daughter was more comfortable and relaxed. This meant so much to us because surgery was the last thing we expected to happen that day. Nurses work so hard and I wanted Kim to know how much we appreciated her professionalism and kindness that day. Thank you for all you do. You are definitely gifted in your field!
