Kimberly Giles-Sheriff, a staff nurse on unit 2A is one of a kind. Kimberly displays a compassionate and caring attitude towards our Veterans and their families on a daily basis. She is well-rounded, kind, empathetic and helpful to others. These attributes were exhibited during an interaction between Kimberly and a Veteran's daughter during an emergency. The Veteran's condition had declined quickly and the experience was very scary for this daughter. Kimberly stayed with her during the crisis, comforting and keeping her updated on her father's condition. She assisted the daughter in collecting his personal belongings and personally escorted her to the ICU waiting room where she remained with the daughter until she received news that her father was stable.
Kimberly Giles-Sheriff was nominated for her hard work, dedication and compassion shown to our Veterans and their families.
