Kim brought nursing back to life for me in Critical Care. She is excited for students to learn and does everything possible to make sure we understand and love what we are doing. I thank Kim greatly for creating a safe space to ask questions and helping me be excited to learn! She is the most influential professor/instructor I have had, hands down, in my undergrad nursing program. She is a prize to students, and I hope she will continue to be here for students in the future as well.

Kim is the best professor I have ever had. After not doing as well as I had hoped on my first critical care exam, I was feeling disappointed in myself. Kim pulled me aside and encouraged me. She knew I could be a critical care nurse because, as my clinical instructor, she saw me in practice. From that day on, I would meet with her, and she would explain things to me in a way I could understand. She gave me different examples and pushed me at clinical by asking me more questions since she knew this was how I learned best. Kim truly cares for her students and helped me get excited to become a nurse.
