I am honored to nominate Kim for the DAISY Lifetime Achievement Award in recognition of her exceptional leadership, dedication to patient care, and her ability to inspire and guide her team toward achieving outstanding results. Kim exemplifies all the qualities of an outstanding nurse leader—compassion, vision, integrity, and an unwavering commitment to excellence.
As a nurse leader, Kim has consistently demonstrated a deep understanding of the critical importance of patient-centered care. She prioritizes both the physical and emotional needs of patients, ensuring that every patient receives the highest standard of care in a compassionate and respectful manner. Her leadership fosters an environment where every team member is focused on the well-being of the patient, and where collaboration is encouraged to achieve the best possible outcomes.

Through the implementation of evidence-based practices and patient-centered care strategies, Kim has led the charge in instituting shared governance councils and partnerships with frontline staff that enable tests of changes in these focus areas. Their focus on quality care has directly contributed to our system's goals of better health outcomes and increased patient engagement, which are foundational to the Destination 2030 vision.

Her honest, straightforward approach built trust among both patients and colleagues. The patient was placed successfully to the satisfaction of family and clinical teams.
