Kimberly taught me how to keep my head held high in horrible situations. She made my time very pleasant at the hospital. I was going through a really hard time. I got into a huge fight with my dad and went home and swallowed a lot of pills. I spent 3 days in the hospital then I was transferred to Behavioral health. I was upset and very confused. I had gotten comfortable in my room, then a sweet lady looked at me and told me that I had to get meds. I felt that it was the first time someone had truly looked at me since I went to the hospital.
Kim asked me why I was there, and I felt happier and relieved. She made each day I was in the hospital a little brighter and a little better. She was the one nurse who cared enough to ask how my day was or to ask if I was ok. But sometimes I felt that I wasn't a patient, more like her own child, she cared for me in ways my own mother never did. This is my story, and this is how my nurse Mrs. Kim impacted me.
