April 2025 Honoree
Kimberly Mason, RN
Kim Mason is without a doubt an extraordinary nurse.
Kim has been a part of the Baptist NICU team since 1997. She is one of the elite transport nurses who spends a lot of time traveling in Angel One to hospitals without a NICU, stabilizing infants and bringing them back to Baptist South NICU for care.
Resuscitating and stabilizing infants in the back of an ambulance takes extraordinary skills. I have witnessed her compassion for the worried parents who have to trust her with their sick or premature infant. She gives them great comfort and peace.
In addition to her transport nurse duties, Kim is a charge nurse, attending deliveries. Many days, Kim does this multiple times a shift, never complaining.
