From the moment I met Kimberly McKenna she instantly made me feel welcomed, engaged, and supported. I know she radiates this same sense of security to her patients when caring for them. I was lucky enough to have Kim as my preceptor after I transferred to the PACU. Despite the challenge of transferring units during a pandemic, Kim made me feel comfortable and guided me every step of the way. She had her own set of fears about the pandemic, yet she eased mine.
A more specific example of the exemplary care she provides to her patients is when one of our patients was in distress during a cardiac arrhythmia. Kim’s care was calm, prompt, and efficient, all while educating me on the proper steps to take during this scenario.
