Kimberly is a model nursing student. She displays professionalism, compassion, and caring in all aspects of her patient care. Most recently while in clinical Kimberly recognized a change in her patient 's status and followed the correct protocol to get the patient the help that he needed. Kimberly was an advocate for her patient and stayed to assist another member of the health care team to ensure the patient 's needs were met. Kimberly clearly displays evidence of practicing Jean Watson 's Theory of Caring Concepts in both the classroom/lab and clinical settings. She utilized problem solving for decision making, promoted a supportive environment, assisted with the development of a helping-trust relationship with her patient, mimicking the carative factors associated with Dr. Watson 's Theory.
