Kim took excellent care of my mother. In my opinion, she went very much above and beyond to take care of my mom and keep our family informed about how she really was. She gave us updates and communicated with us as we waited on her to get out of emergent open-heart surgery. She did not sugar coat the truth, but still managed to make us comfortable with what was going on. Even though my sister works there, it was still a scary time for us.
Kim was mom's nurse when she got to SICU. She was excellent clinically as well as kind and compassionate to mom and all of us. She explained all the tubes, pumps, and equipment so we could understand. She was always calm and professional, but with a great positive attitude. It is easy to see that she chose the right profession. I appreciated her so much during a very stressful time for my family.
That is the cleanest and best-run operation I have ever seen. Thomas is a great facility and I am glad mom was in Fairhope when she got sick. She was definitely in the right place!
