Kimberly went above and beyond to truly get to know me, not only as a patient, but as a person with a story and a family. From the beginning, it was clear she was deeply invested in my labor and delivery experience. The care and compassion she provided went far beyond clinical duty; it felt personal, genuine, and deeply heartfelt. From the moment she entered my room, it was clear that Kimberly has a true passion for her work, her patients, and the babies she helps bring into the world. Throughout a difficult labor, she did everything in her power to keep me comfortable while remaining attentive and vigilant in ensuring my baby's well-being. Watching her balance both with such grace and dedication was truly remarkable. When the on-call physician was unavailable, Kimberly stepped in and delivered my baby. Watching her safely catch my son while sharing that emotional moment with my husband and me was unforgettable. It felt like a close friend was there to support us and welcome our child into the world. I have never had such a difficult time saying goodbye to a nurse. Kimberly made a lasting impact on me and my entire birth experience, one that I will carry with me for the rest of my life. Her kindness, compassion, and unwavering support, even in moments of uncertainty and when things did not go as planned, were extraordinary. Kimberly is truly a remarkable nurse and a special human being. Anyone who has the privilege of being in her care is incredibly fortunate. She embodies everything the DAISY Award represents, and I sincerely hope she knows just how meaningful and appreciated her work truly is.
