Kim from Labor and Delivery was beyond extraordinary. She was very attentive the entire time I was there being induced. She was my nurse from the time she clocked in until she clocked out that day. Any time I called for her she came right away. She would physically hold the monitor down to my stomach anytime the baby would move in a way that prevented it from detecting the heartbeat so that we wouldn't have to stop the Pitocin. She held my hand and encouraged me during my epidural. She would do everything she could to help keep me in comfortable positions once I was no longer able to do so myself. She cleaned me up multiple times. Allowed the epidural to take full effect before inserting the catheter. She was patient and kind to my 4 year old who was present during my labor. She would constantly check to make sure I was still comfortable and see if I wanted to change positions. She really went above and beyond. I was induced my first pregnancy as well and it gave me a bad idea of how this induction would go but she truly made it a great experience. I couldn't have asked for a better nurse. She really made the experience as easygoing and as comfortable as possible. Thank you so much, Kim.
