I was away and thought my Mom had died alone in her apartment. Luckily, the police rushed her to the hospital. She ended up in the ICU on a Tuesday morning at 2:52 am. I was there with her Tuesday and Wednesday. On Thursday morning, she was switched to the 6th Floor. During her time in the ICU, Kimberly showed so much concern, compassion, and patience with my Mom. It was as if it was her own Mom. She was very quick and efficient in tending to my Mom’s needs. Leaving a loved one at the end of a long hospital day is debilitating, to say the least, but I felt so grateful that she would be taken care of with love and patience. On Friday, while waiting in the hallway on the 6th Floor waiting for my Mom to be cleaned, I saw the DAISY Award. Kimberly represents exactly what one would want a nurse to be while caring for a loved one. She is knowledgeable, kind, patient, sweet, and very attentive. She is in this job for all of the right reasons. Thank you!
