I wanted to submit this as a co-worker of Kim’s to highlight her wonderful attitude when dealing with difficult situations. Kim does a great job remaining calm and taking the time to explain things to the patients. It is a great help to have her as a charge. Today we had a difficult situation with a patient who was discharged about a month ago. The patient was as dissatisfied with the response from patient relations and transferred to the unit looking for answers. Kim did a wonderful job reviewing the situation and providing a response to ensure the patient was following up appropriately. Kim not only assisted with the patient's concerns but also provided instructions the patient could understand. This took a large amount of time. Kim remained kind and compassionate. I just wanted to highlight her behavior as it is contagious to both staff and patients.
