A male patient on G7south was admitted for suicide attempts and alcohol abuse. Kimberly Swann spent hours with this patient speaking with him about his life events in effort to calm him as he was threatening AMA after his 2014 hold was resented.
This gentleman was a very successful business man that lost his income in the economic decline. He subsequently lost his home; his wife divorced him and is now estranged from his 3 children. Kimberly has assisted in arranging a discharge plan to must ministries. She has prayed with him and requested the hospital chaplain visit/sit with the patient when she herself could not.
Kimberly learned that he had no personal belongings other than the clothes that he was admitted with; Kimberly purchased 2 pairs of shorts, 2 collared shirts, socks and underwear for him as a gift.
This act of kindness and generosity is not uncommon for Kimberly. We applaud her!
