First off, Kim made time in her busy schedule to pull my surgical drain. She was welcoming and professional and maintained a caring, warm, and upbeat attitude during the entire appointment. When you are fighting breast cancer, being around these personalities is so important. She took time to re-dress the drain that was not ready to come out, dressed an area of my surgical wound that was weeping, and even took time to look at something unrelated. This all sounds like normal care, but it was overly high. She took all the time needed with me until “I” was comfortable and had all my questions answered. She never made me feel rushed or like I was a burden like all of us have felt at one time or another. I have worked in healthcare for 37 years. This nurse is special, and she greatly increased my comfort while going through a very difficult time and gave exceptional skilled care.
