Nurse Arnett witnessed a two-vehicle accident in Payne County at the intersection of E 104th St and Hwy 177. One vehicle caught fire and the other vehicle rolled. Nurse Arnett stopped and assisted other bystanders in removing the driver from the burning truck and getting him to safety. Nurse Arnett went to help occupants of the rolled vehicle, locating a 12-year-old juvenile who had been ejected from the vehicle. The juvenile had a head wound that Nurse Arnett, with the help of bystanders, dressed as best they could. Nurse Arnett got the juvenile into a stable position. EMS and fire arrived but were attempting life-saving measures on the 12-year-old's 15-year-old sister and attempting to free the juvenile's mother, who was entrapped in the overturned vehicle. The 12-year-old Juvenile was in intense pain and scared, asking for his family members. Nurse Arnett stayed with the juvenile, comforting him to the best of her abilities and keeping him stable while waiting for additional EMS services to arrive on scene, attempting to distract him from seeing the CPR in progress on his sister approximately 20 yards away from him. Upon the arrival of additional EMS services, Nurse Arnett assisted them with the Juvenile, rolling him onto a backboard, carrying him up a steep, muddy embankment, and loading him into an ambulance. It was an incredibly chaotic and emotionally charged scene with a truck fully engulfed in flames approximately 40 yards away, CPR being performed on the Juvenile's older sister, and his mother entrapped in the car, seriously injured. Nurse Arnett kept composure and control, aiding first responders however she could and caring and comforting the Juvenile. Nurse Arnett then gave crucial eyewitness testimony to Troopers on scene.
