Kindra was lightning fast at spotting cardiac rhythm changes; she caught a STEMI! She saved a life. The actions she took were fast - the Rapid Response Team was called in seconds.
I have been working with Kindra Trzebny, an ICU RN at Aurora Lakeland Medical Center for a year and a half now, and I can attest to her incredible passion for taking care of our patients. Kindra is a wonderful human being and a superb nurse. She is always quick to notice changes in patients' clinical conditions, attending to their needs.
One day recently, she was at her best yet again! Kindra saved a life... A precious life supported by a fragile heart. Kindra was lightning fast at spotting cardiac rhythm changes; she caught a STEMI! She saved a life. The actions she took were fast - the Rapid Response Team was called in seconds.
My nomination of Kindra for the DAISY Award is supported by the patient's family as well! "That tiny, cute blonde nurse just saved my husband's life" - was the exact exclamation of the patient's wife. She was saying it on repeat, over and over again, as if she had just finally recognized what had just happened and the gravity of the situation.
I am very proud to work with my wonderful ICU team. Kindra might be the tiniest on the team, but don't you underestimate her strength - I saw her in action on more than one occasion!
