I arrived at the hospital at 6:30 am because my mom was scheduled for surgery around 7:30. When I got to the floor, I was informed that Kira was my mom's nurse. She came into the room and was already prepared with the paperwork that I needed to sign (a plus). More impressive to me was how pleasant and kind she was to me and my mom, as it was pretty early, and some people were still trying to get things together.

She showed patience and warmth when addressing and caring for my mom. She was present as often as possible, giving updates on the status of Mom's surgery from beginning to end. Her compassion for caring for my mom, who is 88 by the way, was felt and very much appreciated. She is a true DAISY to me and my mom, and I want to say thank you, Kira!! You really made that day relieving for me, and I could not let it go unnoticed.
