Kira Preston, BSN, RN

I would like to recognize Kira in the ER department for going above and beyond her duties as a nurse during my boyfriend's recent stay at Clarke County. My boyfriend was involved in a semi-truck rollover accident and his cell phone was crushed in the process. He couldn't remember my cell number but told Kira I worked at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in the Pharmacy department. Kira obviously went above and beyond to contact a huge medical center and track me down. I don't work in the hospital nor do I work in the Pharmacy department. I actually work on the University side in a huge academic medical center in the College of Pharmacy.

Her actions not only made her patient, feel more at ease but she was amazing in relaying all the information to me and letting me speak to him.
