Kirit "KP" Patel, ASN, RN, CSA

I would like to acknowledge the hard work and sacrifice made by one of our employees at AdventHealth Carrollwood. Kirit Patel, who is both a registered nurse and a certified assistant, has taken on the arduous task of auditing our trays downstairs in CSP. This is a job without any fanfare or reward. Though he relatively recently obtained his nursing degree, he has taken on this task that he is overqualified for due to the fact that he cares about patient safety. In the month of July, he audited 312 trays, which is an amazing number for one person to do. Through his meticulous attention to detail, he identified possible potential issues that truly may have impacted patient safety in the operating room.

Kirit Patel, or K.P. as we all know him, is a physician who relocated from India. He has been working here at AdventHealth Carrollwood for over a decade ago as a first assistant. Wanting to be more impactful in patient care, he went back to school and obtained his nursing degree. K.P. embodies our service standard of “Keep me Safe”. When others decided to move on to take travel jobs in the past couple of years, K.P. decided to stay at his home, AdventHealth Carrollwood. He is always willing to pitch in and is a true team player. He not only understands the culture here in the operating room, he epitomizes it.
