His student, under Kirk’s calm guidance, performed multiple rounds of high-quality compressions and remained composed throughout an emotionally intense situation. When the patient ultimately passed, Kirk and his student were the only two who stayed to prepare the patient for viewing. They were on the floor scrubbing it clean, tending to the patient with quiet dignity, and ensuring the environment reflected the respect every patient deserves.
