Kirsten Gehr, RN II

My daughter, A, was admitted and remained inpatient for 4 days. We were, of course, scared & anxious but truly so well taken care of. Kirsten was our night shift nurse the second night on the floor. I felt as though we needed something - water, meds, more blankets, more oxygen, less oxygen - every few minutes & Kirsten was nothing less than sweet, quick, compassionate and professional all at one time. She spoke to both of us so respectfully and like we were her only patients... but come to find out, our nurse the next day said that the shift the night before was one of the busiest they had seen in several years. While we knew that Kirsten was working super hard, I was blown away that she was able to deliver the level of care while in the midst of an epic night on the floor in general. She did everything she did with a smile & some reassurance, and it meant everything to us at such an uncertain and scary time. Thank you.
