When my mom had a stroke and was brought from the cath lab to ICU, Kirsten Holtz was our nurse. Kirsten was one of the most caring nurses I have had the privilege to see work. She made my mom feel much more comfortable especially when my mom declined and could not speak. Since there was a two-visitor per day restriction, Kirsten always called me to update me about whatever was happening or happened during her shift.
My mom was also very excited when she got to have Kirsten as her nurse for the next two days. When anyone was up visiting my mom, Kirsten was so nice and when she would leave the room she would not only make sure my mom has what she needs, but she did the same for whoever was in the room visiting. I know that she had to have been very busy with her other patients, but she always took the time to make sure everyone was settled. She also took the time and was very patient when anyone had questions. She made sure that my mom understood what was going to happen and why.
Kirsten is an extraordinary nurse. Kirsten has truly found her calling and is excelling at it in every way.
