Kirstie is early in her nursing journey, but you can already tell that she will have a long and fruitful career. She has shown excellent leadership skills on the unit and is great at keeping up the quality of care even in our busiest of times. She strives to be helpful to her coworkers, her patients, physicians, and family members. She can build rapport with even the most challenging of patients and is always finding new ways to personalize the care she delivers. Kirstie demonstrates a sincerely positive outlook that comforts the families entrusting their family member to us.

There was a situation where a patient became highly agitated and somewhat violent. The patient would not obey staff. During this entire ordeal, Kirstie continually and extremely calmly talked to the patient and asked what we could do to alleviate his stress. She always showed caring and kindness toward the patient while also being mindful of the safety of the other patients and staff. Overall, I found her professionalism, compassion, selflessness, and kindness to be above all I have encountered since working at Bryan.

Thank you, Kirstie, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
