She is deeply committed to ensuring her students achieve success, not only in their education but also as future nursing professionals.
Dr. Lewis was also nominated by a student's parent, who expressed gratitude for her commitment to the global learning aspect of nursing education. On several occasions, Dr. Lewis has taken nursing students abroad, allowing them to witness firsthand how nurses care for patients in different healthcare systems. She was once again recognized as a role model and mentor for nursing students.
