Konea Dory, RN

I have personally watched Konea Dory give extraordinary care to many patients and families, but one Code particularly stands out. A patient coded in the ED from injuries suffered in an MVA by no fault of his own. They did not have family or friends around, and it took some time to find them. Konea cared for him and cried for him as if he were her own flesh and blood. She mourned him, his youth, and his passing with such compassion. It is easy to get calloused, especially in the ED. Konea is not at all. She is kind, compassionate, a team player, and a friend to everyone. She is the perfect example of what we need as the face of IMH and of the nursing profession in general. She is a red-headed angel on this earth.
