Kori was assigned to care for a special patient who required incorporating activities of daily living. Kori demonstrated compassionate, kind, and tolerant care to this patient. Kori took the patient for wheelchair rides around the hospital to visit staff and view holiday decorations just as other caregivers did. However, Kori's compassion went into overdrive when she recognized the patient's clothes were soiled; and after completing her 12-hour shift she took the patient's clothes home, washed them and returned them the same night. Kori was not scheduled to work but she came in with a new hearing aid battery that she personally purchased for this patient. Kori deserves a heartfelt thanks for going above and beyond with the greatest care and love.
