Korrine had a Vietnamese speaking patient who the doctor decided to discharge at 6:30 pm. Prior to discharge, the patient had to be taught how to do a self-procedure at home. The night shift nurse assigned was an agency nurse and Korrine didn't want to leave her to deal with the situation. She looked up education written Vietnamese and stayed until 9:30 pm making sure she understood and was discharged. She showed excellent teamwork and compassion towards her patient, their family, and her fellow nurses.

Korrine has the clinical skills and is a very compassionate nurse and person. I was having a tunneled line put in on Monday morning and was very nervous about it. She sat with me a few minutes and consoled me by holding my hand and giving me a hug. I feel she went above and beyond the call of duty.

Korrine always comes in the room with a smile, uplifting. She is always courteous and genuinely concerned about my mom's health issues.
