Kortney Petri is an amazing student who not only helps her fellow students with their struggles but has also shown great care in the clinical setting. During our clinical at Mt. View Hospital, Kortney was assigned to a patient who had a fetal demise and was experiencing a series of significant clinical manifestations such as abnormal lab values, distress, and possible cardiovascular complications. Kortney has had personal experience with going through the painful process of a fetal demise. She has used her own experience as being able to give care to this patient in need that extended beyond managing physical care but also emotional care. Kortney Petri is someone who I look up to because of her extraordinary care for others, both patients and students.
Kortney Petry is the example of the type of nurse I want to be. She goes above and beyond to help her patients and her peers. She is an LPN and has a wealth of knowledge that she does not mind sharing with the rest of her class. She is amazing in all she does and a great leader. She will be an amazing RN one day because she is the example we should all be looking for. She is a great mentor and a great friend to those in her community. She works two jobs full time and is a full-time student as well. She has a lot of responsibilities and she never ceases to amaze me.
