My 92-year-old Dad found himself in the ICU in critical condition. Krenda, his nurse, was very kind in explaining all the options of care that could be provided for him and the resources available. My Dad was prepared for his passing and did not want extensive invasive care but gentle support with treatment. Options were discussed, and our family's wishes were respected. The vasopressors stopped, but care and compassion were provided. Our family came and was given access to be able to come and give our Dad support and love, and we are all so grateful. We want to thank you for listening to us and our suggestions of how to provide my Dad care in what still may be his final hours as we sit and wait. The ICU was busy, but Krenda did a fantastic job being a patient advocate and listener.
