Kris Green, RN
Nurse Kris Green’s understanding, kindness, and professionalism during “an extremely rough and dark road” inspired a patient to recognize Kris.
The patient has experienced four miscarriages and an ectopic pregnancy in the last four years. “Kris has walked with me every step of my journey. She has celebrated with me when I had a pregnancy that was going well, and my baby had a heartbeat. She was there to comfort me when that pregnancy ended suddenly and unexpectedly.” Through intimate treatment, Kris is there “with a warm smile and a gentle heart to help me. She is selfless and works so very hard for her patients.” Kris has offered hope, patience, and understanding while respecting the patient's religious beliefs. She helps the patient, “in our absolute darkest times,” the patient said. “I am not sure why she does it, but I know my journey would be much different if Kris wasn’t a part of it.”
No task is too big or too small. She is an educator to patients and peers. She is empathetic and compassionate to those in pain. She listens and every day, she chooses to put patients, their safety, and their well-being first.
