Kris is one of the most compassionate and caring RNs I have ever had the honor to work with. I have been with the clinic since November, but in this short amount of time, I have witnessed Kris interacting with our patients with such great care and respect. Kris's role in this office is one in which she takes every call off of our RN line. She has a system in which every patient who calls will get a phone call from her within 24 hours, but usually sooner. She is very knowledgeable and is respected by every person on our team, and by the doctors.
As I said, I have witnessed Kris on several occasions, and I always walk away in such awe of how she comforts a patient but is clear with what the patient needs to do. On one occasion, she spent over an hour on the phone with one of our patients who had recently been Baker Acted. The patient was alone and afraid after a miscarriage, but Kris in all of her wisdom and care spoke to the patient in such a loving and caring way. She acted with such grace as she talked to the patient about being healthy physically and mentally. Kris assured the patient that she would be here when she came to the office for her next visit, and would accompany her during the appointment. This is not the only example I have in which I have seen Kris in "gentle action" with our patients.
Kris is a great role model for any RN, veteran, or new. She is a true DAISY Nurse.
