My husband has been admitted at Mid Coast Behavioral Health for a week and a half. He has received care from multiple amazing nurses, but one exceeded all expectations and helped him make a decision that ultimately saved his life. My husband has dealt with mental health issues for over a decade and has not been able to overcome this. As many are, he has always been fearful of taking medications, which is difficult when you have a mental illness. Kris took the time to educate my husband in a way he was able to understand. I believe that Kris's genuine nature and compassion were evident to my husband and helped him trust him in a situation where he felt he couldn’t trust anyone.

After my husband took the medications and had a positive response, Kris was delighted. He was truly rooting for my husband. As a person witnessing a loved one go through something so difficult- this meant the world. Kris played a part in changing his life forever and his loved ones will forever be grateful to him for this. Coming from a fellow nurse, Kris is the type I aspire to be. He is certainly in the right profession, and I am confident he will continue to help many people throughout his career.
