Kris takes great care of his patients and he is very attentive to their needs. He does not hesitate to help his team whether answering call lights or giving them an encouraging chat.
Kris has been a nurse on PCU for 3 years and has worked both day and night shift. He has also taken on the charge nurse role and received his PCCN certification during his time here. Kris has received several Best Place Cards from patients and family members as well as Kudos from his teammates. He was nominated by two different patients for The DAISY Award this quarter! Kris is known for his dedication!
His peers have said, "Kris is an excellent team player. He takes great care of his patients and he is very attentive to their needs. He does not hesitate to help his team whether answering call lights or giving them an encouraging chat."
The patients and family members have thanked him for his friendly demeanor and his kind and compassionate personality. One family wrote, "Kris is an exceptional nurse who is friendly and kind. He explained things to us in a way we can understand. This really put us at ease. "
As his manager, I have been very proud of how he has handled taking care of COVID patients. He does not complain, instead, he has worked with grace and compassion. He is very meticulous with PPE and makes sure that he is protected as well as his patients so that everyone is safe. He has experienced loss personally this year and he has handled that with resiliency. I am so thankful to have Kris on our PCU team and look forward to what the future holds for him.
